Our client’s practice has been operating in Wellington for over 20 years, and they pride themselves on their high standards, long term client portfolio, settled team and more business than they can manage.
The business is in great shape and they are still growing. A key staff member is taking maternity leave and they need someone to cover this well-established portfolio of work as well as help support the business while another person is taking a holiday. Their business looks after the following areas:
- Relationship Property
- Business Acquisitions and Sales
Ideally we’d love to meet someone with at least 3 years PQE and experience in General Practice who has had exposure to all of the above areas.
We know it’s tricky to consider a fixed term contract but if you were willing to consider it, this firm is worth taking the chance for. Preferred applicants will ideally have the following:
- Experience in the aforementioned legal areas
- Ability to work autonomously
- A “Can Do” attitude
- Ability to relate to a variety of clients
- Strong interest in building solid relationships
- Great communicator
- Leadership qualities
This client is willing to offer professional support and development to the right candidate. You will not be just a number at this firm – your career progression, and happiness in your position and the team are important to the workplace environment.
This is an opportunity for a lawyer that is considering their long term goals. While the firm is small, you will get variety and they will teach. You can continue to learn and grow while covering a maternity leave contract.
If you have been curious about a move and a 14-15-month contract can be seen as a change that doesn’t tie you down, this could be just the opportunity you have been waiting for.
We need someone that can give some additional support to cover annual leave before the maternity leave contract would begin in January 2020. This is why they can offer 14-15 month’s employment. Due to the growth of the business, there is also the possibility of permanent employment at the end of the contract.
Opportunity for change, development, and an employer who wants to teach, it doesn’t get much better than this!
