Working closely with my client, the Theatre Services Manager, your key responsibility will be managing the monthly Theatre schedule, for the Doctors, Surgeons and Anaesthetists. Your role will see you liaising across the hospital with the Consultants, Theatre and Clinical teams.
Other key responsibilities of the role are:
- Act as the first point of queries around theatre schedules
- Ensure patients have all pre-operative requirements met
- Manage any schedule changes
- Updating and maintaining the booking system
- Manage relationships with consultants/surgeons
- Assist with induction and orientation of new consultants
Due to the complex nature of this schedule you will need to bring a wealth of healthcare and medical experience and knowledge to this role. Ideally your career to date will be within an administration role either with public or private healthcare.
You will need to thrive on challenges and be genuinely happy to help across the team because your role is so pivotal. You will also need to have a high level of empathy and compassion along with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation.
This organisation is growing and changing so we need someone who is flexible and able to adjust to regular change. Due to the nature of their business, things don’t stay the same for long and no two days are the same.
There are lots of benefits to working for this super organisation that include; a long-standing management, medical insurance, free offsite parking, flu vaccinations, subsidised staff café, First Aid training and the list goes on!
