Reporting to the Finance Manager, my client is looking for a dedicated Corporate Accountant to join their extended finance team and take hold of this newly created role for the organisation with a key focus on their insurance-based products.

About the role:

• Responsible for a mix of general & management reporting
• Preparation of statutory financial statements
• Drive implementation & reporting of dedicated insurance business
• Manage audit process & ad hoc reporting requirements for all corporate entities
• Provide support to the payroll and accounts administrator
• Work alongside finance manager to assist in improving efficiency of processes for the wider team

 About you:

• You will have the rights to work in NZ in a permanent role

• Must be CA Qualified and ideally hold CAANZ membership

• Ideally have at least 2-4+ years’ experience post qualification
• Accounting based experience ideally within a commercial environment
• Experienced in financial reporting (IFRS 17) will work to your advantage
• Strong willingness to work within a team environment
