Our client, a membership based, not for profit organisation, is seeking a versatile Communications Advisor on a full-time permanent basis. This role has come about due to internal movements, and it is the perfect time for a pair of fresh eyes to come in and take over this key role.
A large proportion of the job will be working on external communications strategies including creating high quality content for articles, case studies and presentations. Working alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager this role will also see you help raise the profile of the business by identifying story ideas, writing media releases and preparation of speeches for the Chief Executive and wider leadership team.
In this role, the Communications Advisor will also be responsible for the development of content to be included in their monthly newsletters that are sent to members. As such, this role is suited to someone with a creative flair and a good technical skill set
Other components of the role include internal communications where you will work across the organisation to improve internal communication channels as well as being the communications lead for their intranet.
This is a diverse role, with plenty of opportunity for a driven and self-managing individual. Working in a small and friendly team you will have support from both the Marketing and Communications Manager and your peers.
The preferred candidate will have some or all of the following
- 2 years plus experience in communications
- Proven experience in writing and editing for a range of communication channels
- A background in journalism or working with media
- Exposure to social media management and posting
- A good grasp of marketing concepts
