Customer Service Representative – Building Industry

$58,000 - Including employer KS contribution + 10% annual bonus

Ideally, this role will suit someone who has proven customer service experience handling orders, returns, tracking of orders and supporting clients and sales reps on the road. If you have a genuine interest in the building industry, this will work to your advantage as due to the nature of the products, it can get technical.

The key purpose of this role is to ensure efficient and professional liaison with customers including telephone contact & administrative support.

About the role:

  • Manage telephone and email enquiries and orders
  • Input customer orders into SAP
  • Print picking lists and work in conjunction with the distribution staff to send orders to the customer in full and on time (DIFOT)
  • Manage stock rotation to ensure the oldest stock is picked first for orders
  • Maintain close liaison with distribution, manufacturing, and supply chain staff
  • Liaise with sales staff (manager and reps) regarding client queries and orders
  • Manage customer returns/credits in conjunction with the finance team
  • Manage inter-branch stock transfers in conjunction with the warehouse staff
  • Manage export orders to overseas customers
  • General office duties as required

About you:

  • Experience working within the building industry desirable but not essential
  • Ability to competently work SAP or similar
  • Appropriate experience working in a CSR role handling & tracking orders and returns
  • Proven experience working autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with ability to follow up and take ownership
