Fundraiser

$70,000 (pro rata)

Due to a recent resignation from a longstanding team member of this nationally recognised & respected organisation, we are seeking a versatile, motivated and people-focused person to continue the great work already done.

In this busy and varied role, you will be managing and coordinating the organisation’s fundraising strategy which will involve writing compelling grant applications, growing the donation program and building relationships with a range of donors and supporters. This role will require a creative streak as you will also be writing fundraising communications for email campaigns as well as generating fundraising content for social media

Bringing experience across the NFP/Volunteer sector will be the foundation of your success. you will be experienced in managing grants and developing fundraising campaigns. A naturally proactive and people-focused person you will truly believe in the value of volunteering and have a strong community focus.

This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week with some flexibility on how these hours are satisfied.

Working in a small team of 8 passionate people, you will have a great level of support and assistance around you, to deliver great results.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the wider fundraising program
  • Build and nurture relationships across donors and supporters
  • Set fundraising targets and regularly assess the funding needs
  • Provide monthly fundraising reports to the Board
  • Develop and maintain the annual grants calendar
  • Maintain the donor database
  • Write a range of fundraising communications for newsletters, social media and other communication channels
  • Recruit and manage volunteers to help support fundraising efforts

The preferred candidate will hold some or all the following:

  • Experience working in an NFP/NGO/Charitable organisation
  • A passion for volunteering with experience or exposure to volunteer services
  • 4+ years’ experience in a paid fundraising role
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management with a “no fear” approach to networking
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to present information in an engaging and clear way
  • Proven ability to build and manage a fundraising plan
  • A good level of initiative to create opportunities and carry them through
  • Great writing skills and ability to confidently communicate across a range of channels
